Assistant Director of Annual Giving for the Phonathon
The Assistant Director of Annual Giving for the Phonathon (Cavalier Connect) is responsible for the operation of the University's student phonathon or calling center. Cavalier Connect raises approximately $1 million a year in annual gifts for the schools/programs at the University. The Assistant Director recruits, hires, trains and manages between 40-55 students who solicit gifts on behalf of the University. He/she will work closely with student supervisors and callers to ensure Cavalier Connect goals are met. The Children's Miracle Network Program Coordinator, UVA Children's Hospital, supports UVA Health System Development by identifying, cultivating and stewarding individuals and corporations for support of the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) annual giving campaign. Responsibilities include management of both the current national and local CMN corporate marketing and fundraising programs across a seven-county area, as well as development of new corporate partners. Maintaining strong corporate relationships, in-store training for solicitation activities, and supporting and developing CMN fundraising events constitute the major focus of this position, along with volunteer recruitment and management of various supporting committees. Gift Planning Public Relations Coordinator

The Gift Planning Public Relations Coordinator provides marketing support for the Office of Gift Planning by planning (including budget), creating, tracking and follow-up to printed and electronic communications to alumni and friends of the University as it relates to planned gifts. This person will work with the University's Office of Strategic Communications, print contractors, mailing houses, etc. to accomplish these duties. Selection of artwork, photographs, interviewing donors, writing copy, and maintaining Gift Planning web page content are all a part of the position responsibilities.
