Harambee II: A Celebration
On January 20, 2008, the Office of African-American Affairs’ Peer Advisor Program welcomed African-American first-year and transfer students back to the University of Virginia with Harambee II. This year’s keynote speaker was Mr. James M. Trice, Jr., one of the first African-American students to attend the University.

Once again the Richmond Ridley Scholarship committee held its annual fundraising dinner at the historic Jefferson Hotel in downtown Richmond with over two-hundred alumni, friends, and current students were in attendance.
